Those who built this table in a school yard intended to paint on it squares of a chessboard, but it was probably not taken into account that together with the shadow they created a work of concrete abstract art, consisting of an element of three-dimensions -the table, an element of two-dimensions - it's shadow, and a background, made of new concrete encompassing the foot of the table, and old concrete around it. The new concrete is small and the large is old. The table is on the right and the shadow is on the left. The table is realistic and permanent while the shadow is illusory and moves like the pointer of a sun dial clock.

מי שבנה את השולחן הזה בחצר בית ספר התכוון לצייר עליו ריבועים של לוח שחמט, אבל סביר להניח שהוא לא לקח בחשבון שיחד עם הצל יש כאן יצירת אמנות מוחשית מופשטת, שמורכבת מאלמנט תלת ממדי שהוא השולחן, מאלמנט דו ממדי שהוא הצל, ומרקע, שמורכב מבטון חדש שמקיף את הרגל של השולחן, ומבטון ישן שמסביבו. הבטון החדש קטן והישן גדול. השולחן מימין והצל משמאל. השולחן מציאותי וקבוע ואילו הצל אשלייתי ונע כמו המחוג בשעון שמש
